Overview

The Implementing Cisco NX-OS Switches and Fabrics in the Data Center (DCNX) course provides a detailed understanding of the Cisco Nexus switch platform. It teaches you how to install, configure and manage Cisco Nexus switch platforms in scalable and highly available data center environments.

Through instructor-led lessons and hands-on labs, you will explore Cisco Nexus product families and platforms, including their implementation, management, redundancy, routing, security, programmability, monitoring and storage capabilities.

The training covers Port Channels and Virtual Port Channels, First Hop Redundancy Protocols, Cisco NX-OS routing and forwarding, Virtual Extensible LAN, Quality of Service and system-management tools. You will also work with Cisco NX-OS programmability, containers and Ansible-based configuration.

Storage networking topics include Cisco Nexus storage services, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, device aliases, zoning, N-Port Identifier Virtualization and N-Port Virtualization modes. The course provides practical experience that helps learners build operational expertise across Cisco Nexus switching and fabric technologies.

The course qualifies for 40 Cisco Continuing Education credits toward recertification.
